Castro Obías family tree

Updated November 18, 2004

About Our Family Research

The Castro Obías family tree is a category of the Obías clan
in the Philippines. The surname of the siblings' mother is
Castro; and, the surname of the siblings' father is Obías.
The surname "Obías" is pronounced in three syllables
with accentuation on the second syllable.

The purpose of this home page is to trace our ancestors
and our present distant relatives from the Philippines, Spain and China.
Afterall, the Castro Obías siblings are triracial. And, almost all of our ancestors' surnames sounds Spanish. However, we fluently read, write, speak and understand only the English language and the (Tagalog dialect-based) Filipino language.

So far, the Spanish-sounding surnames of our ancestors are Castro, Diego, García, Laurel, Mata, Obías, Prado, Sandique and others. And, we are not sure
where the surname "Guarin" comes from. Dy-Liacco is a Philippine surname
with a Chinese origin to distinguish this clan among so many people whose surname is Dy.

Tune in next time for further updates.
