I know very little about my family tree and would like to know more!
I am apparently of Spanish, Chinese, and Filipino descent on my father's side and English & German on the maternal side.
My father's father was Alphonse Delacruz UClaray (sp?). An immigrant from the Phillippines in the 1920s, his name was apparently misspelled to O'Claray because of the similar pronunciation. At the same time, my grandfather changed his first name to honor an American President: George. George lived on the west coast and eventually married Susan Sarah Williams. Ms. Williams already had a son from her relationship with Daniel Quibal; Dan George. Dan George became Dan George O'Claray when his mother wed George O'Claray. My father, Gregory Samuel, was born in 1942 to Susan and George but the couple later split and Gregory headed north as a young teenager to live with his father in Juneau, Alaska. I am also aware of an aunt Jennie Kilgore in the Aberdeen, Washington area. George passed away in 1957 and Gregory lived in a Filipino foster home until he was old enough to support himself. Of note, Daniel Quibal passed away in 1959. Susan Williams passed away in 1991. I have never met any of these relatives but have recently conversed via email with Dan George O'Claray.
On the maternal side, as best I know, Mabel Swanson (aka "Nana) was mother to Mary Tuttle. Mary Tuttle first married Harold Gaither (an apparent twin) and had two children: Jim and Mary Maxine. She later remarried to Chester A. Strohmeyer and had two more children: Sue and Ellen. Chester passed away in 2001 in Bellingham, WA. Jim passed away in 1997, Ellen lives in Bellingham, and Sue and Mary live in Juneau. I don't recall ever meeting Mable or Harold and I only recently met Ellen.
Sue Strohmeyer married Dan Jorgensen and has three children (Lawrence E., Ursula, and Curtis). Lawrence married Kristine in the late 1980s or early 1990s. Ursula married Richard Prine and they have a daughter Cera A. Prine. Ursula later remarried Greg Jones and they are currently expecting a child. Curtis was a U.S. Marine and he currently has three known children, a girl, and a set of twins (girl and boy) by a lady in Mexico. Curtis and Ursula live in Juneau, AK and Lawrence lives in Anchorage, AK.
Mary married Greg O'Claray, my father, in the 1960s. The couple split in the 1980s and finally divorced in the 1990s. Mary remarried George Jackson in 1999. I have four siblings: Lisa Dianne, Dina Lynn, Cynda Jane, and Megan Bittany, of which I am the 2nd youngest.
Lisa Dianne married Brad Hall in the 1980s and they had Broc Alva in 1984. They also had a son, Beau Gregory in the mid-1980s that did not survive past the first few days after birth. Brad also has an older daughter, Amy, with another lady in Washington state. Lisa, Brad, and Broc live in Puyallup, WA.
Dina Lynn married David Guest in the 1980s and they had Alisyn Renee in 1988 and Samuel Frederick in 1993. The live in Black Diamond, WA.
Cynda Jane married Steve Perusich in 1995. They live in Spanaway, WA.
Megan Brittany married Bryan March in 1999. They had their first child, Nyah Victoria, on November 9, 2001. They live in Tacoma, WA.
I married Lowell Fair in 2000. We live in Wasilla, AK.
As you can see, I don't have much family history and my knowledge is limited primarily to current/recent events.
