O'Connor, Wolfe, Foley Familes and Brougham, Kennedy Cousins Updated January 31, 2003
About Our Family Research
This page is primarily devoted to the O'Connor and Wolfe branch of my paternal great-grandfather John Connor/O'Connor and his wife Mary Wolfe O'Connor. There is a connection to the Maurice Foley family of Canada through John O'Connor's sister Bridget. Later generations include the family and descendants of Thomas Christopher Brougham, descendants of Patrick and Mary Kennedy Hannan and others. Data for this tree begins in 1795 and continues through the present day. John and Bridget O'Connor, brother and sister, emigrated from Ireland in 1847 to Ontario, Canada. There they met their future spouses, married and each raised a family. Both families emigrated to Pottawattamie County, Iowa around 1880. A son of John O'Connor, Simon, met and married Anna Margaret Brougham in Weston, Iowa in 1891 which connects to the Broughams, Kennedys and Hannans.
