My grandfather, Michael Oechsner, was from Gerchsheim, Germany. He worked at the Wuerzburger Hofbraeu. My grandmother, Therese Oechsner (nee Wiehl), was from Schoenfeld, Germany. My grandparents had seven children: Wilhelm (died when only 1 year old); Loni (married Karl Gruen); Anna (married Ernst Thurn); Paula (married a Plessel); Luise (never married); Hildegard (my mother); Therese (married Josef Ziegler). My grandmother started a small store at the Steinbachtal station (Strassenbahn Haltestelle). She was known as "Resi" and her youngest daughter Therese continued the store after 1946 and was also known as "Resi". I was born March 6, 1946 in Wuerzburg and lived in the Koenig-Heinrich-Strasse until 1954. Then we moved to Friedenstrasse 34 (Sanderau). I immigrated to the United States 1965. I am married to Stephen J. Baron. I have two sons: Owen Oechsner and Douglas Fish. Both live in New York.
