About Our Family Research


This site's intention is to gather and distribute information on the Ofeldt family. The family name is Swedish and it's Swedish spelling is 'Åhfeldt'. The family has been tracked back to Sven Åhfeldt who was a Corporal in the Swedish army around 1760. The branch of the family that I am tracing came to America in 1871. The person was Jonas Franz Waldemar Åhfeldt. He was an inventor who invented the Naptha engine and Alchol Vapor engines in 1883 and 1896.
