My family research has brought me to find living relatives throughout the United States. My paternal side goes back to Bailey in the 1800's in Canada and moved to Michigan in the 1860's. Also Scotts' moved from Canada in the 1800's to Michigan as Well. VanHorn's from NJ/NY?PA to Michigan with Benjamin VanHorn being at Oakwood Cemetary in Chesterfield Twp in Macomb Co., Michigan (1773-1861).
My maternal family research goes back to Hemminger's in Germany in the 1500's and Merriss in Michigan in the 1800's.
Most of my reasearch is done via internet as my core site is Michigan, Canada, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Europe.
