Wilson Reid Ogg, b. 2/26/1928 s. of James Brooks Ogg, 1888-1962, Mt. Sterling, Ky and Mary Wilson Ogg, 1898-1962, Denison, Texas.
James Brooks Ogg was the son of James Clay Ogg, 1838-1888, born in Virginia, and of Lucy Brooks, born 1858 in Virginia, who in turn was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Brooks and June Carter, born 1806 in Virginia.
Mary Wilson was the daughter of Granville Newton Wilson, b. 4/13/1860, in Pleasant Valley, Ky, and Dixie Davis Decker, b.3/15/1862, in Pleasant Valley, Ky. Her paternal grandfather was Robert Todd Wilson.b 2/4/1830( son of Robert Newton Wilson and Margaret Lansel Hays), and her paternal grandmother was Mary Melvina Lambert, whose mother`s maiden name was Merchant. Her mother Dixie Davis Decker was the daughter of William Henry Decker (son of William Decker born in Hardin County, Ky. and Lydia Smnallwood) and of Ellen Horn, born in Daviess County, Ky. and daughter of Nathanmial Horn and Mary Catherine Hays.
