Egan Ogier of Katikati New Zealand

Updated March 14, 2005

About Our Family Research

The OGIER generations in New Zealand stem from the arrival of William Ogier,Nicholas Martin and his wife and his younger sister Lydia Martin, then 14 years of age on board the ship Regina from Gravesend on 4 December 1859, being originally from Guernsey, Channel Islands. Four years later William married Lydia
who was then 18 years of age and William 22 years of age They
had a family of 10 children, one of whom, a twin, died in infancy

As a member of the New Zealand Society of Genealogists Inc and of a Channel Island sub Group, I now have the Ogier line ancestry back to Michel Ogier of Normandy who had arrived in Guernsey cica 1507 and purchased farm land

I am in the process of completing the various N.Z. ancestral lines to present day and have gathered up a large amount of relevant data
