I have been researching my own family genealogy for the past 13 to 14 years. We have a very strong and interesting family histroy. The Cantrell/Cantril/Chantrelle, name goes as far back into English histroy to about the year 1580, and a bit before, when my ancestors were first put on the English history books. members serving in the King's army, some listed as Archers, members of the king's court, many are listed as that of being ministers, in parts of England, before Emmigrating over to the U.S in about 1600, when the first arrived here and later settled in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Our coat of arms, is well documented to, and the slogan means, " We give of our blood". We come from English,Irish,German,Polish and Native American decent.Names searching are: Cantrell/Cantril/Cantrill/Chantrelle.
Lately, I have also started to reserch my husband's family line of Oglesby,Oglesbee,Oglesbey. His family also is from rich and documented line, though I have been having trouble finding info.I have not given up, though have run into the famous "Brick Wall" many times. His line is from Irish,Polish German and also Native American decent, that of either Cheerokee or Choctaw. Mine of Cheerokee.
I know there will be some mistakes, and some info not correct. For that I am sorry, since there is a lot wrong even when relaying on records.
