I was born Carol Anne Gaskell in 1948.
My parents were William Gaskell and Alice Syddall.
William's parents were Richard Gaskell and Beatrice Mann. Alice's parents were James Syddall and Nancy Wilcock.
Richard Gaskell is a mystery!
Beatrice's parents were Robert Mann and Mary Ann Monks.
Robert Mann was the son of Thomas Mann and Eliza Rogerson. Nancy Wilcock was the daughter of Robert Wilcock and Jane Glazebrook.
James Syddall was the son of William Syddall and Alice Jenkinson.
Jane Glazebrook was the daughter of Thomas Glazebrook and Elizabeth (Turner?).
Alice Jenkinson was the daughter of James and Ellen Jenkinson.
Most of these ancestors were from Bolton, although the Wilcocks came from Ormskirk and Eliza Rogerson was born in Preston.
