Alphonse married Mary Kingsley (sometimes referred to as Kinsley) from Broadford, County Clare Ireland. They had 2 sons John born in 1883 and Alphonse (Albert) born in 1885. John married Ellen Kenny and Alphonse married Loretta Byrnes. They currently have more than 100 living descendants throughout the USA, Ireland and England. The Schlatter ancestors originated in Oberglatt Switzerland, and are linked to Ochsner and Maag families also of Oberglatt. The name Schlatter died out in this family with the marriage of Lillian Schlatter (the only child of John Schlatter and Mary Butscher) to Vance Von Ohsen she had 3 sons. The Von Ohsens originated in Bremen Germany and immigrated to Charleston South Carolina. The Von Ohsens are linked to the Luther family of Reems Creek North Carolina through Mamie Luther and to the Vance family originaally from Counties Derry and Fermanagh in Ireland and in the USA of Buncombe County North Carolina through Angelina (Walker) Luther (Mamie's Grandmother). The Viguerie name originated in Hechettes in the high Pyrenees of Southern France. Jacquette Viguerie married Albert Schlatter. The Leonard family of Belfast, Northern Ireland are linked through marriage to the Von Ohsens.
