The original name of the family in Finland was Lehtilampi. Then it was Moisio for a while and in the 1840's it was Vuorela. Some members of the family moved to the U.S. One of them was Juho Oja and mhis wife Alexandra Puiras. Alexandra was born in Lehtimaki October 13th 1871. They had three sons: Alfred born June 13th 1893 in Michigan, another son Johan Edvard born November 15th and Suoma Matilda their daughter born December 26th 1895 and died in Ispheming May 14th 1974.
Most of the family still lives in Finland.
