My great uncle, Christopher Augustus O'Keefe was born February 26, 1852 in Cleburne county Alabama. His father, Thomas Phillip O'Keefe was a native of North Carolina. Phillip O'Keefe, father of Thomas was a native of Ireland. He and four brothers left the area of Cork Ireland and sailed the Atlantic to America in the late 1700's or early 1800's. The names of the four brothers and the exact sailing date has not been proven. Phillip was married in Virginia, later moved to North Carolina and died there, date unknown. Thomas moved from North Carolina to Georgia and married there. Later, he and his wife moved to Alabama and his son, Christopher was born there. Thomas's wife's name was Sarah West and was born in Wedomee, Randolph county, Alabama, date not known. Im trying to establish the four brother's names, their exact arrival date in the U.S. and where they lived after their arrival. DSO
