My family has been looking to put together family members that we have lost contact with over the years. Some we have only heard about,others we met as children. This last year we have found 6 of our lost families and have all met at a family reunion but the search continues.
My mother comes from a family of 12 children. 6 step brothers and one step sister,3 brothers and one sister. They never knew their maternal grand mother or her family,she was said to be full blood indian and we have not been able to find information on her.Her family possiably came to Oklahoma via trail of tears as that is the time she ended up in Indian territory from Kentucky.Her name was Levia Ollie Smith May.
My mothers father had a sister living in Georgia that has several children we have been unable to locate any of them. her name was Laura(brown) Ownsby.
So far the siblings that their families are left unaccounted for are Cressie May (brown) (Blair)Reed she lived in Sacramento ca. Lewis Stevenson Brown born April 14,1916 in Georgia,children are unknown. Jeff Martin Brown April 11.1918 children are also unknown.
