I am searching my roots in Finland. My name is Willehard Olavi Oksanen. I was born on Sept 25, 1921, in Ruokolahti, Finland. My parents were Willehard and Josefiina (Nenonen) Oksanen. We came to the United States in Oct 1923 to live with my uncle and aunt Frank (Frans) and Amanda Ailo. The family consisted of mu sister Meri, three brothers Hugo, Eino, and Tauno. I am the last surving member of the family. I have been able to contact relatives on my mother's side (Nenonen), but have not been abel to locate any on my father's side. I had a cousin Lauri Oksanen who lived in New York and Connecticut. He has also passed away. I had two other cousins George (Yrjo) Nenonen who was married to a Siiri Oksanen, also from New York, who have also passed away. I also had an aunt who lived in Michigan, whose name was Ida Nuumi. I believe that she was an Oksanen also.
