There is much to say; I've spent a lifetime hearing of my family and some fine predecessors. Our family lineage has been traced back as far as 1094 to records in The Doomsday Book, in England (See recent updates below). As an interesting side note, it seems that Olney's have shown up in Scotland, England, Ireland, New Zealand, Canada and, possibly, Holland, France and Germany as well as in the U.S.A.
I will continue to add to this site as I find more and more information to share. I hope you will also share your information with me! :))

I found an error in a dual attachment of Orville Oscar Olney as being mothered by both Emma Sheridan and Caroline Toles. The correct mother is Caroline Toles. Please forgive the inconvenience.
5,700 names and histories were recently uploaded; when I get information from FTW as to its disposition and what CD it will be available on, I will post it here. Still no news as to when it will be available on CD but it may be online for registered users.
I've run across some more recent data with leads back to the 800's in Europe ... come back again soon, perhaps I will have more information.
