I have used the book (Descendants of Andrew Dewing of Dedham, Mass. by Benjamin Franklin Dewing, printed in Boston in 1904)
Through this book I have been able to trace the Dewing family back to about 1636, when Andrew (1) is supposed to have come to this country from England in the company of John Goodnow (or Goodenough, as sometimes spelled), and his wife Jane and daughter's Lydia and Jane.
The last Dewing's in this book are my uncle, Charles F., born October 16, 1872 in Sabattus, Maine, my grand-father, George H. Born November 29, 1874, in New Brunswick New Jersey, And my aunt, Edna May, born May 2, 1878, in New Brunswick, New Jersey. These three people are the 9th generation, since then, there have been 5 generation's added the the list. My mother Gertude, he brothers,Elery, George, and Arther, myself George H. O'Neil, my daughter,Sheila Rae O'Neil, my grand-son George Allen Parent, and my great grand-daughter Essie A. Parent.
