About Our Family Research

My Kelly's originated from a little island in Bantry Bay called Bere Island, Ballyinakilla, County Cork, Ireland. Patrick Kelly and Mary O'Sullivan, she was from Castletowne Bere on the mainland just opposite the island, married and 4 children which they brought with then in the 1840's to Saint John, N.B. Canada. Here they had 4 more children. Jeremiah one of the sons born in Saint John married Johanna Monahan, they had 13 children and their son Frederick Kelly had 16 children. I am Frederick's granddaughter. My research started in 2004. Please feel free to visit ancestery.com and contact me is you feel your could be related in any way. lindabothy
