About Our Family Research

Other family members found the emigration information of my great grandfather from Germany to NYC in 1869. I found via internet search a cd with NY marriages that listed the date of his marriage in NYC 1874. I found that I could order marriage, etc. records from NYC for $5 and orderd his marriage records and I got them. They contained his date of birth and location and his Mother's and Father's names as well as those of his wife.
Via the internet I located and hired a researcher, who found the microfilmed church records of my grand dad's family back to the early 1700's.dating back to around 1700 (when the church was destroyed by the North Sea when the dike broke).
I have found other family records via the 1900 and 1880 census records as well as info from my wife's aunt.
