REUNION UPDATE - (this page is being updated every few days)

We wish to thank all of those that attended the Smith Family Reunion. There will be CDs available of pictures from the past and present along with a Genealogy report which is currently in the making. Our next reunion will be at the same location, however, it will be organized by Candace Smith Moore, Cheryl Smith Lutz and Judith Lynn Smith. Norma and Cedric will give assistance, as required. This web page will still be maintained by Cedric but will have more inputs from the three volunteers and other family members.

For those wishing to see updated pictures, they have been installed on this website under Picture 1 and 2. As of this writing, no captions are shown but I am asking the family to fill in the blanks as to the who, what, where and when as much memory gets taken with this information and we will have them on line for a short time to make way for other data.

Special thanks go to all those that spent time passing on information to the family tree. One real gem in our family is Irene Knowles. Irene came from Maine and has a memory which astonished any and all that heard her expound on dates and names. We have a real treasure in Irene!

Help is needed to develop a biography on each of our parents, grandparents and children. This request, if at all possible, should include a picture of the person and submitted so it can be included in the MASTER CD. An example is included of what was done for Rev John Smith. It is, of course, easier to do a biography on a person you know. There can be more than one biography on an individual, (a grandchild may have a perspective that a son or daughter would not). It would be reasonable to have a biography from Norman and Carlene on Maybelle Augusta as well as any of the sons or daughters. Maybelle spent her last years at home with Carleton and Donna in Long Beach, CA.

It was obvious that Howard was getting ready for the reunion prior to his passing away last year. His children were taken to the task of bringing some of his ceramic artistry - treasures that all of us will remember. Candace's daughter Candace brought grand daughter Carrie, Cheryl and husband Frank and Judy with significant other Rodney. Everyone was happy to see Candace and the well represented family members.

Kenneth passed away last year and Charlie made sure his mother was able to attend along with his friend Jean. Both were very supportive of Edith as was very much observed by all. Kenneth would have been proud of Charlie and Jean that weekend. Edith is now residing in a nursing home in Massachusetts with Charlie living close by. It is great to have Charlie, as a member of our family. Unfortunately, Kenneth's son Kenny was not able to attend this year and makes his home in Florida.

Julia Paulman was the "Keeper of the List" and did a good job making sure that "we" signed the sheet. This year, badges helped in telling "who was who."

For those family members getting into genealogy, a group of files have been written in Family Tree Maker, Version 9. This file will be available for e-mail to those that can read the format.

Albert was unable to attend this year but hopefully will be able to attend the next reunion. Albert's daughter ,Sandra, has a horse farm and son, David is a lawyer. Both are well and doing great.

A wonderful Sunday
