The Oomkes familytree from Groningen (Holland)

My name is Hans Oomkes. My father is Joh Oomkes and he was a butcher in Groningen. He died in 1957. My mother was Anna Wiertsema.She diedd in 1969.
My elder brother Jan has done some research to start a familytree. He will be ending his working life in januari 2003. I hope he will continue his work on the familytree.
At this moment there are only some 80 families listed in the Dutch phonebook. So we are a small and select group of people.
It would be nice to find out if we are all connected and if so how.
Our branch of the Oomkes family has his roots in Groningen, a province in the north of the Netherlands.
Taking the step to open this website might be a step in completing the familytree that was ment to be made.
If you can provide information in relation to our familytree in construction please let me know.
