I have been researching the Vannatter (VanNatter) family for many years, before the internet even. I can trace the family to New York, Aaron Vannatter on the 1860 census. Anything prior has been next to impossible to find. In 1860 Aaron,wife Delilah and 7 year old son John Henry lived on a farm in Edwards township, St. Lawrence Co., New York. In 1865, they are listed in "Beer's Atlas of St. Lawrence CO. By 1870 they had moved to Polkton township, Ottowa Co., Michigan. From here the search has been easier to follow. I need help with prior to the 1860 census.
