Julius Shager (son of John Langengen ( Shager ) and Andrea Mathia ( Martha ) Ruud)³⁹ was born 03 Sep 1897³⁹, and died 24 Jul 1898³⁹.

he was 10 months and 21 days old.
Nils Mugaas and Rev. Bredeson helped the family construct a grave lined with hand carved rock marked by a large oak tree on the highest point at Shager Homestead. The body was later moved to the Landstad Cemetery, and the open grave can still be seen.
