MRS HATTIE F. PEPPER DIES AT 78
She was a Resident of The Sampsel Community.
Mrs Hattie Florence Pepper life-long resident of the Sampsel
comunity,died at 12:45 this morn ing at Susan's Nursing Home . She
was 78.
Mrs. Pepper had been in failing health the last 2 1/2 years
andseriously ill the last thre e weeks.
She was born Aug. 4, 1881, in Livingston County, daughter of John
andCaroline (Dawkins) Wal ker. She attended Sneed school and spent
herlifetime in the Sampsel community.
On Dec 8, 1901 . she was married to Francis M. Tiberghien , who
diedApril 15, 1942. Ther e were the parents of the surviving
children, RoyTiberghien Chillicothe, Mrs Ross (Erma) Ra der,
Wheeling, and Mrs John(Ester) Reynolds, Moorseville.
She was married Sept 9, 1942 to George Pepper at Gallatin . Mr
Peppersurvives , residing a t the home on Chillicothe RFD 4
In addition to her husband , son and two daughters. she leaves
abrother Josh Walker and a s ister Mrs Alice Dye , both of
Chillicothe ,seven grandchildren and 10 great grand children.
The body will lie in state at the Norman Funeral Home until
noonThursday. It then will be re moved to the Mount Olive Methodist
Churchfor funeral services. The Rev. Ernest Akers will b e the
officiationminister.
Interment will be in the Mount Olive cemetery.
