DawkinsWalker was born at Samps el, Mo. April 3 1887. He married
JennieFrazier at Mooresville on Jan 7, 1906. He died a t the age of
62.Surviving was his wife , two children, Russell Walker of Council
Bluffs,IA. , and Ruth Walker of the home; two brothers, Josh Walker
ofChillicothe and Albert Walker o f Kearney ; two sisters , Mrs
GeorgePepper of Sampsel and Mrs Grant Dye of Chillicothe. Tw o
children, onebrother, and four sisters preceded Mr. Walker in death.

Death Late Tuesday of J. W. "Bill" Walker
Former Chillicothe Merchant Dies Suddenly at Home Near Sampsel
John William "Bill" Walker, 62, former cafe and market operator
inChillicothe, died at his ho me near Sampsel Tuesday night at 9
o'clockfrom a heart attack. Mr Walker had been in Chillic othe on
businessyesterday and was apparently in good health.
John William Walker, a son of the late John and Caroline (Dawkins)
Walkerwas born at Sampsel , Missouri on April 3, 1887 . He received
hiseducation in that community and live there an d in Chillicothe his
entirelifetime.
Mr. Walker was married to Miss Jennie Frazier at Mooresville on
January7, 1906. He operate d a fish market under the Winkelmeyer
Furniture storefor seven years and only two months ag o moved back to
Sampsel. Mr.Walker had been in failing health since 1945. He was a
membero f the ElmStreet Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife of the home; two children , Russell Walker
ofCouncil Bluffs , Iowa an d Ruth Walker of the home; two brothers,
JoshWalker of Chillicothe and Albert Walker of Kear ney; and two
sisters , MrsGeorge Pepper of Sampsel and Mrs Grant Dye of
Chillicothe. Two chi ldren, one brother and four sisters preceded
Mr. Walker in death.
Funeral services will be held from the Mt. Olive Methodist Church
nearSampsel Thursday aftern oon at two o'clock under the direction of
theNorman funeral home. The Rev. J. Frank Baker, p astor of the Elm
StreetMethodist Church, will conduct the services. Interment will be
made in the family lot in the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
