Dear Aunt Bessie:
Your post card just received and was glad to hear from you and I thank you for sending the $10.00 for Easter, we enjoyed it very much.
The enclosed picture is of grandson Georgie Starbuck taken about a year ago and will send more pictures of the family soon. Charles Walker age 23 was married last Sunday and had a very nice wedding.
I do not know whether or not I can make the trip to see the Fair at San Francisco this summer the boys and myself are quite busy mining clay and it is hard to take time off.
Clarance Variel told me to send you his best regards and I hope this letter finds you and Mr. Johnson in the best of health.

From these two items I would then presume his Aunt Bessie married a Mr. Frank W. Johnston and lived in Martinez California. Both still alive in 1946.
