I have researched from about 400A.D. starting with the McFinleys, even though before them, the names had no surnames, just first names, as in days of old. Our ancestry began in Scotland, with Kings and several other historical personages. As years past,they married with some Irish. By the time that they came to America, most were called Finlay's and Fenley's.

  The McFinley's may have begun with Adam and Eve. We have the path to support, with some questions as to accuracy. Our ancestors were definitely Kings in Scotland, whose descendants came to America and changed their names to Finlay, Finley, and Fenley.
