The Orlando's left Cellara (Calabria) and settled in both the US and Canada. My grandfather and his 3 brothers first arrived in New York in the late 1880s. The worked on the railroad and after 11 years my grandfather came back to Cellara. His brothers settle in New York and Tacoma Washington. My grandfather did not keep in touch with his brothers so very little is know about their families or eventual whereabouts. After the 2nd World War my father and his 2 brothers, immegrated to Canada and settled in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. My father worked for Algoma Steel and in 1955 sponsored both me and my mother. I lived in the Soo until my graduation from University. I received a Bachelor's of Science degree. I worked for Control Data Corporation, a Minniapolis based large mainframe computer company for 17 years. In 1988 I started my own business and have been working for myself for the past 12 years. I have a brother who still resides in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. His name is Frank Orlando.
