Etty/Ettie was born Esther/Hester Kennedy in October 1874 in Portarlington (then known as QUEENS or KINGS COUNTY), Ireland. She was the 11th child (from a total of 12) of parents PETER AND MARY-ANN (nee Connor). Her eldest brother, MICHAEL, is my great-grandfather.
She emigrated to Australia, and married John (Jack) Dwyer (probably in Perth), who was himself born in Australia, but whose parents were from Ireland (perhaps Cork?). They apparently moved from Perth to Sydney in 1922, sailing on the "Zealander". Jack was a reasonably well-known actor in Australia, and one of his films was "For the term of his natural life". Etty and Jack had 7 children - 1 boy & 6 girls - and the boy, LEO - who is now 93 years of age and living in Adelaide, Australia! - is the only surviving child. His grandaughter, NICOLE DWYER, and I are in contact, and are swopping information.
