I am currently looking for information about John Thomas Criswell, my Paternal Great Great Grandfather. Mostly, who his parents and siblings were. John Thomas was married three times, outliving all three wives. His first wife was Elizabeth Guyer. They had 5 children. After her death, he married Katy Wilt and they had 4 children. His third wife was Rachel Ross. They had no children together , but according to the 1900 census, she had 3 children of her own. John Thomas was also a Notary Public in Blair County, PA. UPDATE: I have recently found that the parents of John Thomas Criswell were Joseph Chriswell and Bridget McIntire of Chester County, Upper Oxford Twp. It seems as though Joseph died at a young age, not long after the birth of John Thomas. In 1850, Rachel is shown in the Census to be living with the Samuel Ross Family in Upper Oxford. If anyone has further information about members of this family, I would be thrilled to hear from you.
