Hello, I am th daughter of Ricarda Baiza ortiz & Fidel Garza Ortiz. My father died when I was very young and a few after my mother joined him.The one thing that was left to my siblings was the feeling that my mother hadn't told us everything about our family.I can't speak for all of my family members but I have always been curiuos as to why, which lead me to want to trace my family history.What I believe to be true is that my mother is the daughter of Appolonio Baiza born in approx. 1881 in Mexico I am not sure on the area, and Teresa (Zubia) Baiza born in 1891 again I am not sure of what area.However I do know that my grandmother past away in 1982 in the small town of Haskell, Texas.I believe my grandparents migrated to the United States around 1917 and settled in or near Ranger Texas.I believe that my grandmother had 2 sisters possibly by the name of Marta & Maria Zubia but as of this point I have no information on them.My grandfather was believed to have 2 brothers 1 name Lorenzo Baiza and another I am unsure of his name. The unknown brother was said to be kiled during the Mexican Revolution as he fought alongside of Poncho Villa.At this point I have not found any evidence to support this , If anyone reading this could help in anyway I would greatly appreciated.
