After researching Maine Osgood/Garrison Family's for over a decade..one thing is for sure - there are an awful lot of Osgood'sand Garrison's in Maine (and Nation-wide too)! Add to this fact that generations ago our ancestors had rather large families (averaging 7-10 children per family) and kept passing down first names...and you've got yourself a major headache and a lot of confusion as to who is who. Because of this, when I first got started I found myself occasionally branching out onto the wrong Osgood or Garrison line that didn't make it back to our current lines (Although I kept this information on the many different branches of Maine Osgood's/Garrison's..it is not here in electronic format. If you are an Osgood or Garrison relation with Maine ties, I may have helpful info on your line even if you don't see any direct ancestors here..)The lineage I have here has been reasonably confirmed by other resources and is believed to be accurate.But then, who knows..?
