... My great-grandmother was Bridget Costello. born 1861...Married Edward Dillon..born 1856....The Dillon family is still in Castlerea, Carrowbehy, Roscommon.....Bridget & Edward had 7 children:

Catherine born 1894 ( my grandmother)

My notes from a woman named Kathleen Sloyan who still lives there...she is John Dillon's daughter...born around 1920:

Mary married a Pedro Aybar

Agnes ( Nora) married a Bill Mullins...they ended up in NY...their son Eugene was my Godfather...they also had a son named Bill
she also gave me the name Honoria or Honora w/ the address 4 Roads, Roscommon...don't know if The nickname Nora is from Honora!!!!

Bridget(Della) no info on marriage, but I beleive she ended up in NY

John married an Ann Noone

Thomas drowned in NY (?)

Ned married a Theresa Cringen


I grew up in NY...grandchild of Catherine Dillon & John O'Shea (Youghal,Cork) my dad: Nicholas Francis O'Shea was born 1/27/1929 and died 12/25/1997. He had a brother: John Edward O'Shea born circa 1931 and died 1991 (?)
The Costello family is still living in Carrowbehy...I met a "cousin Costello" at the " Coney Island Pub" as well as the grandson of the man who signed my grandmother's birth certificate.!!!! No one moves away!!! Which is terriffic for us Americans//'cause you can trace your family by walking into a Pub and mentioning the last name!!!
