The Osornio family, originally from the state of Sinaloa, Mexico, is currently in the states of California, Nevada, Colorado, North Carolina and Florida. My personal family resides in Riverside county, CA. I am trying to find more information on how our family came to the Americas. I have found 'Osorno' and 'Osorio' in the log books of spanish ships coming to Mexico in the early 1500's, but no 'Osornio'. I do believe it is of Spanish descent because of it's similarity to the aforementioned names. Any help from other Osornio family members (maybe related!) would be greatly appreciated. Also, advise on how to access records in Spain via the internet would be appreciated.
