The Larry A. Oswalts of Calhan, CO

Updated August 9, 2002

About Our Family Research

Larry's family "popped-up" in Kent, Litchfield County, CT, in 1757. That is the earliest information we have about William Lake. William was b. September 22, 1759. He married Mary Perkins, b. July 21, 1757. William and Mary had eleven children. The family migrated from CT to Warren, NY. From there, we believe they migrated to Grand Rapids, MI, using the Erie Canal.

My Neely/Martin families came to the southeast of the colonies. They migrated from Virginia, to Tennesee, Kentucky, Oklahoma and Texas. The Alexander family "popped-up" in Atlanta, TX, when my grandfather James Cosper Alexander was born about 1899/1900.

I have information from my Aunt Pearl Gantz for the Neelys and Martins, but I don't have much for the Alexanders.

I have found a great deal of information on the Lakes, Oswalts and Meads.

We would be interested in sharing information with other researchers.
