In 1995, I set out to reestablish a link to my fmaily's past that had tragically lost. I'd heard stories from my older siblings how our father used to receive letters from European relatives, but none of the letters or the names of their writers survived. It took me five years, but I finally got in contact with distant Slovak relatives living in the Orava area (which was made part of Poland after Word War II). I also have retraced my family history to show how we all are related.
