I personally haven"t done any family research, but plan to start immediately. The Outhouse Family Historical Society has a history of our families dating at least back to the 1600's when our families lived in Uithuzen, Holland. The original name of the family was Simons or Simonson and when the families arrived in the New World in the state of New York the name Outhaus appears. It seems that it later was anglized to form the more recent name of Outhouse, which is the name of our present family. We have reunions every year, some here in our own region - Tiverton, Long Island and elsewhere throughout the U.S. - this year our reunion for the Outhouses' is in Colorado. My family tree includes my father, Murland G. Outhouse; my mother,Eva(Lent) Outhouse; my wife, Joanne M.(Amirault) Outhouse; my daughter, Hannah E.Outhouse; my son, Samuel R.C. Outhouse.
