The migration has taken about 250 years to date just to get across our great nation. What do I know? How many more of us are out there? Yeah, just waiting to be found. Don't forget about all those dear old Granma's,and they were young once also. There were the Batey's, Baley's, Anderson's, Norton's, Caldwell's, Well's(Ireland), Mitchell's(Ireland), House's and these are just on the top side with the first wife. My dear old Daddy fathered 13 children with the Norton lady. I was the 1st born of his 2nd and last wife with 1 brother. Top, Roberts', King, Bozeman, and my Mama was a Turner. Bottom, Richardson,Willis or Wills, Rosanah "unknown", Arnot, Howell, and the Gannaway's. Wow! I started this seriously in 1995 but I got side tracked until this summer when I finally got a computer, boy am I in trouble now. Daddy talked very little about life in Eldridge, Gray Co TX or of the whole state of TX, that I remember. Mama talked about the Dust Bowl days around Borden, Dawson,& Lynn Counties & how they would have to hang wet sheets over the windows and drape one over a table and crawl under it to be able to breath. That must be when she learned to play dominoes so good.
