This branch of the Owen Family tree is new to the USA arriving from South Africa via Singapore in July 1998. Our direct Owen ancestors are from Bermondsey London while my maternal family line traces back to the Hannafords from Derby England and originally Devon. Although I have no first cousins, I know that I am related to a Bertha Owen who came to America in the late 1800's. We have not been able to make that connection yet which needs lots more research.

My wife Jane's side of the family is a Bartlett/Steytler combination tracing back to the UK and Germany respectively. The Bartlett family is huge thanks to Edwin Bartlett born in New Zealand, who settled in South Africa in the early 1900's. There are many direct descendants spread all over the world with cousins in Australia, New Zealand, USA and Africa.

We would dearly love to find any unknown relatives and share any family history.
