I am seeking info re: lineage of my mother and father. Names and what I know are as follows: Father - B.1903-4, Rush Township, PA, D May 27, 1986, Stony Brook, NY. Mother - B. 1906-12, Montrose, PA, D. Feb 21. 1991, Stonybrook, NY. Names were Ward Edward Owen and Augusta Benedict Owen. Paternal Grandparents: Edward Randall Owen DVM, born and lived in Susquehanna County. PAand Ethel Wood Owen, D. Florida. Maternal Grandparents: Walter Garfield Benedict. B. Binghampton, NY, D. Montrose, PA, and Laura Gertrude Davis, B. Scranton, PA area, Montrose, PA. Know of Davis relatives in Olifant, PA. Origin of Davis family is Cardiff, Wales. Origin of Owen name was rumored to be Pembroke, Wales. Arrived early to mid 1800's And lived in Dutchess County, NY in mid 1800's. Prior origin unknown. Father of Edward Randall was a grain miller by trade, and the old homestead stands outside LeRaysville, Pa. My grandparents probably met near Scranton when my grandfather served in the Pennsylvania Militia from 1898 to approx. 1902.
