June 29, 2003 - Mother, June House (Holt)Davis celebrated by Holt Family for her 80th birthday, June 30,2003; Holt Family Reunion with a CD Presentation by Lilia Ann Comer-Huguley, firstborn of Anna K. (Holt)Comer, reflecting and defining the results of her research into the roots of the Harold W. Holt and Amy Katherine House union dating back to 1799. The children of Harold and Amy Holt are:(In order of birth)
Harold Holt; Anna K. Holt; Charlotte Holt; Val Holt (deceased); June H. Holt; George Clayburn Holt; Maxine Holt; Harry W. Holt; and Amy Holt. Kimberli Melvin Owens (born as Melvin L. Owens, III) is the firstborn of Melvin L. Owens, Jr. and June House Holt, born June 2, 1947. These are the roots and/or Family Tree/History of Kimberli Melvin Owens and his descendants. He would obtain a brother, Gerald William Owens, secondborn of Melvin L. Owens, Jr. and June House Holt, on October 15, 1948. A third brother, Charles James Davis, Jr., would be born to Charles J. Davis, Sr., and June House Holt on May 22, 1952. Gerald William Owens, affectionately known as "Bake" most of his adult life would depart this life on November 11, 1992 at the age of 44 due to complications of kidney failure. No surviving spouse nor children. Kimberli attended the public school system in Pittsburgh, PA, attending, first, Rogers Elementary for Kindergarden in 1952. He would attend McKelvey Grade School on Bedford Avenue after moving from Garfield Hill in the East Liberty Section of Pittsburgh to the Hill District (5th Ward)of Pittsburgh. Attendance at McKelvey would be from 1953/54 to 1958. He then attended Herron Hill Junior High School from 1958/59 to 1962, completing grades 7, 8, and 9, and moving on to Schenley High School in 1962/63 where he would complete grades 10, 11, and 12 in 1965 when he graduated on June 11th. He took a job with the Freedman's Mens Wear Store on Fifth Avenue in Pittsburgh from 1965 to 1966 when he moved on to another job with the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) in downtown Pittsburgh........until he was drafted into the U.S. Army in October of 1966.
