I have very little Information about the Dye side of the Family. My grandfather was born on Feb.28,1892 in Norwich,England. He immigrated to Canada in 1920. He met and married Mary Ballantyne Shipley. They then Immigrated to Detroit,Michigan. They had one son George Shipley Dye in 1924. My grandmother died in 1929 at the age of 39. My Dad was only Five years old! My grandfather never spoke much of his family except that he had a brother named "Harry". Since I was eight when he died ,I did'nt ask many questions or at least the right questions. His ships manifest lists him as a "bench" hand and in The U.S.A he was a tool and dye maker. I,m new at this genealogy thing and only have his death cetificate, ships manifest, certificate of naturalization ,some old pictures and some old French postcards sent during ww1. It seems that his father was at a military hospital where his brother was "on the mend". It mentions the name "Herbert".I don't know if this could be "Harry". I guess I"ll have to wait until the 1901 census is out to find the Family. Here's hoping. Since I only have one brother, the Lineage will come to an end with him, since he has no son to carry on the name,I think.
