HIS NAME WAS ROBERT ERVIN KELLY, HE MARRIED LOUISE POWELL I THINK. NONE OF THIS HAS BEEN PROVED. ITS JUST BITS AND PIECES THAT IVE PUT TOGETHER. MY GRANDFATHER WAS DOCK FORGER KELLY, HE MARRIED JANE HENDRICKS,AND THEY HAD 8 CHILDREN, ONE OF WHOM IS MY MOTHER, FLOY KELLY DAVIS.
I KNOW THEY LIVED ON KEOWEE RIVER IN 1916, BECAUSE MY MOTHER TOLD ME SHE REMEMBERED WHEN LAKE TOXAWAY DAM BURST AND IT FLOODED ALL THE WAY DOWN TO KEOWEE RIVER. SHE SAID SHE WAS ABOUT 10 YEARS OLD. THE PEOPLE ON THE RIVER SHARECROPPED FOR THE PEOPLE WHO OWNED THE LAND. THEY WERE, EDD NIMMONS, CHARLIE & EDD STEELE, JOHN & OLIN CRAIG, BOB ALEXANDER AND SAM LAY,TO NAME A FEW
