Lockett Family of Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana, USA

Updated August 15, 2005

About Our Family Research

From what information I've been able to collect thus far I've been able to start my family tree with our Pioneer, Coesco Thomas Lockett I born in 1838 and his wife, Florida Cheany born 1842.

I don't know where Coesco I and Florida were born, but I can track them to Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana, at least, where my great grandfather and his siblings were born. My grandfather's generation left Louisiana and moved to San Pedro, California and from there my grandfather, grandmother and their two sons, one being my father, up to San Francisco, California.

I am still searching for parents and siblings of Coesco Thomas Lockett I and siblings of Coesco Thomas Lockett II. I am trying to connect to other Lockett's from way back when. My tree is pretty much up-to-date with my grandfather, Coesco Thomas Lockett III, and his siblings and their families on down the line.

I am a brain tumor survivor and this has been my dream to be able to find and connect with my family. I have been able to connect with several 2nd cousins and some of their families. I'm sure there are some missing links and I'm on a mission to find them. If you think you might be able to fit in somewhere, that something rings a bell, please don't hesitate to contact me.
