"The Peter L. Padro Family Tree of the Bronx New York City"

Updated September 20, 2005

About Our Family Research

The Padro Family originally came from Catalunia, Spain. The surname Padro is a place name, and there is a location in Spain by this name. Our coat of arms has been located at Ellis Island in New York City. In 1846, some Padro ancestors had moved to Morovis, Puerto Rico, and to Ciales, Puerto Rico. There is a prominent artist in Spain by the name of Padro who painted a very famous work of a train. There was also a very famous poet who lived in Puerto Rico, by the name of Diego Padro. Another very important fact was that Julian Padro, a relative from Spain was a survivor of the liner Titantic, when she sank after hitting an iceberg in April 1912.
