We are researching both my wife's family SOKOLOFSKY and my own PAGE who obviously came from very different directions to MN and ND. My father's mother's family KINNEY/CORLISS has been traced through D.A.R. records back to George Corliss (b. 1617) in Devonshire, England. Joseph Page (b. 3-6-1757), and his son David C. Page (who needs to be documented to connect the Page line) were key ancestors of the NH family which eventually settled in Fergus Falls, MN. Other family names include HUMPHREY, STILES, and Joanna DAVIS who married Corliss on 10-16-1643 in Haverhill, MA. My mother's family GATES came from Norway and appear to originally have been named HAUG or KRISTIANSEN. Her mother's family DOWNEY/COSTELLO came from Ireland to MN via Chicago and WI. My wife's family were Germans from Russia. Her father's mother's family was HEINITZ and came to sw MN and later sw ND. BERTCH is the name of my wife's mother's family, and the grandmother was named BOCHORNEY. Other names in the family's history include MUND and SOCKOLOFSKE. We are pursuing all of these genealogical lines as time and resources permit.
