The Boone Family, migration to Louisiana

Updated September 20, 2008

About Our Family Research

All I have to go by is that my great-grandfather's name was (Felix Boone)DOB, abt. 1853, believed to have come across the Mississippi River from Kentucky to New Orleans LA. with his son (Octave Boone)my grandfather. We've often heard stories of being direct decendants to the great pioneer Daniel Boone, in relation to Squire Boone,{DOB abt. 1696} and George Boone,{DOB abt.1759}My sister has a newspaper clipping of George in front of his General Store. There was also a fmly. connection with a Ray Boone, which someone in my fmly. has a newspaper clipping. I would like to have my family roots, so my children will know some of history that is no longer being taught, and how their connected too. Not to mention that I'm proud to be a Boone, and I don't think there's any Boone's out there who aren't!!!!!!!!!!! Patricia (Boone)Papillion
