I am the first person in my immediate family to seriously work on locating and tracing ancestry from both parents. It is really difficult at times, but the hard work and long hours do pay off sooner or later! It maybe not be what you had expected, but not knowing about your own ancestry for me is torture. I started thinking about my ancestry line when I was told that on my mothers side I was related to MARTHA WASHINGTON & WILLIAM CODY/AKA:"BUFFALO BILL"!!! My father told me I was related to KAISER WILHELM II of Austria!! What an assortment.
I have not had many family reunions lately, but I am looking forward to the day I do meet my unknown relatives. This will be soon since I had a relative from my dads side see my message on a site. She and her mother only live 2 hours away! My fathers grandmother fom his fathers side had a sister who had a son and his daughter and granddaughter have been corresponding with me!! Do not give up, there is help out there! Just ask, and you will be quite shocked that many people respond because they are in the same place or have been. To me, having a site like this shows how much humans do care about the past and feel the need to honor it!!!

If anyone knows about MINNIE PAQUETTE/HUBBARD(MAIDEN:VAN METER), OR HAROLD & MARGARET PAQUETTE(MAIDEN:HARRINGTON/IMMIGRATED 1921 FROM COUNTY CORK, IRELAND) please let me know, it is very urgent. My father is somewhat perm. ill and he wishes that I can find some relatives of his before he joins his parents. One more thing, If there is anyone out there who can give me info. on a Clarence Paquette/wife JEAN PAQUETTE(i do not have her maiden name) or John Paquette who was married to MINNIE PAQUETTE AND HAD 3 CHILDREN:CLARENCE, WILMER AND BEA PAQUETTE. BEA MARRIED A GORDIN HASKINS AND THEY LIVED IN RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA. They both past away in 1993, and I need to locate their 3 daughters. I only know 2 of their names(first only, unless they never married). They are Jo Ann and Patrice or Patricia/Patty.

I have 2 sisters and 2 brothers. The younger 2 are from my mothers marriage to my father HERBERT JAMES PAQUETTE, (BORN 05/14/39) WYANDOTTE/DEARBORN AREA OF MICHIGAN. Their father HAROLD JAMES PAQUETTE was employed by GREAT LAKES STEEL COMPANY IN ECORSE MICHIGAN. Any info. would be very appreciated.
