Original Parish was William Parish - on First Fleet.
He married Phoebe Norton, also an original First Fleeter.
William Parish came out on board "Alexander" and Phoebe Norton on "Lady Penrhyn".
On their release they settled in Parramatta, New South Wales.
One of their sons became a whaler and was wrecked off the north west coast of Tasmania - explaining how the Parish family first came to be in that Australian State.
