Mary Magdaline HIBBLER
Mary Magdalene HIBLER (daughter of Louis R. HIBLER and Adeline HOFFNER) was born February 08, 1876 in Fort Wayne, Allen, Indiana, and died April 20, 1958 in Emporia, Lyon, Kansas. She married Burton Dodge PARIS on December 24, 1902 in Chillicothe, Livingston, Missouri, son of Edwin R. PARIS and Orissa S. DODGE.
Notes for Mary Magdalene HIBLER: BIO:Siblings: One of 10 children Mary Magdalene Hibler moved with her family in a covered wagon from Ft. Wayne, Indiana to Springfield, Missouri while still a young girl. The family later moved to Chillicothe, Missouri where as a young woman of 26 she married Burton Dodge Paris and they moved to Trenton, Mo. to start their married life together. They were married 24 Dec. 1902. While a young girl living in Chillicothe, Missouri, Mary attended St. Joseph's Academy (a Catholic School) and was active in her parish. Mary and Burt had three children - Edgar Louis Paris, born 10 March 1904 (died 25 December 1959); Barrington Lyle Paris, born 4 December 1907 (still living at present); and Mildred Ota Paris, born 8 Novem- ber 1911 (still living at present). Mary cared for the children and the home and Burt worked for the Rock Island Railroad as a lineman for many years until he retired and went to work for Menefee Plumbing, Heating and Electric in Trenton, Mo. On 18 January 1940 Burt died at their home at 824 Custer St., in Tren- ton, Missouri and a short time later Mary moved from Trenton to Chillicothe, Missouri to live with her son, Barry. She remained in Chillicothe until 1946 when she moved to Amarillo, Texas to live with her daughter, Mildred. Mary was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Amarillo. In 1958 Mary went back to Chillicothe to visit Barry and his family and then on to Topeka, Kansas to vist her other son, Edgar and his second wife Elna. Mary left Topeka around noon on 20 April 1958 on the train bound for Amarillo. Approximately 20 minutes out she complained to the conductor of not feeling well and a nurse on the train was called. Mary died from a massive heart attack shortly afterwards and was pronounced dead in Emporia, Kansas. She was buried in Trenton, Missouri in the family plot next to her husband.
